Yoruba Council Worldwide Bestows Royal Title on Dr. Jessica Wilson-Dorsey and Husband
In a vibrant celebration of cultural heritage and global leadership, the Yoruba Council Worldwide has conferred a prestigious royal title upon Dr. Jessica Wilson-Dorsey, recognizing her outstanding service, advocacy, and commitment to promoting Yoruba values and Nigerian identity on the international stage.
Dr. Wilson-Dorsey, a renowned global leader and cultural ambassador, was bestowed with the Yoruba name Yeye Ajewole Aderinsola Jessica Wilson-Dorsey. Her husband, Aare Ajewole Adewale Rodney Lamar Dorsey Jr., was also honored with the title Aare Ataiyese Omoluabi Oodua Agbaye. Together, they were jointly awarded the esteemed Omoluabi Royal Icon (ORI) title.
The royal investiture, held on June 25, 2025, reflects the couple’s unwavering dedication to ancestral wisdom, cultural healing, and the empowerment of communities through heritage preservation and spiritual leadership.
In their acceptance remarks, Dr. Wilson-Dorsey and her husband expressed deep gratitude and reverence:
