The United Nations is investigating the shocking discovery of a mass grave along the Libya-Tunisia border, sparking a renewed outcry over the treatment of migrants in the region. Volker Turk, the UN human rights chief, announced that his office is following up on the reports, urging local authorities to respond promptly and thoroughly.
During a session at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Turk highlighted the grim finding made in March this year, where at least 65 bodies of migrants were unearthed in a desolate part of southwest Libya.
