In a continued show of commitment to women’s welfare and community development, Sterling Bank has once again partnered with the Menopausal Community Support Initiative (MCSI) to support widows, low-income women, and caregivers at the organization’s 2025 Second Outreach Programme held on Saturday, 8th November 2025, at Franrose Service and Apartment, Green Field Estate, Ago Palace Way, Okota, Lagos.
The outreach, hosted annually by MCSI, focuses on providing health education, welfare support, and empowerment opportunities for vulnerable women across Lagos.
Sterling Bank Reaffirms Long-Standing Support
Speaking at the event, Praise Abu, a representative of Sterling Bank, emphasized the bank’s consistent partnership with MCSI and its belief in the impact the organization is making in the community.
“For the past five years, we have supported the MCSI community because we believe in the incredible work they do—especially in creating awareness on menopause and empowering women going through the menopausal phase,” she said.
She added that Sterling Bank remains committed to supporting initiatives that uplift women, improve financial literacy, and promote healthy living.
“In addition, we are here to ensure that women benefit from the Zero Transfer Charges currently offered by Sterling Bank. We are encouraging more women to open an account and enjoy the unique benefits our One Customer Bank provides,” she added.
A Partnership Rooted in Impact
According to the President and Founder of MCSI, Barr. Irene Adetutu Bello, Sterling Bank’s support has been instrumental to the success of their outreach programmes.
“When we first started, we reached out to many organizations, but most did not respond. However, when we contacted Sterling Bank, they replied immediately. Since then, they have consistently supported us,” she said.
Barr. Bello explained that the bank has provided financial and logistical support over the years, helping MCSI organize community programmes that require funding, volunteers, and adequate space.
“Sterling Bank has always been there for us. Whenever we reach out, they respond swiftly and stand by us,” she added.
