NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT: GROUP LAUDS PRESIDENT TINUBU’S ECONOMIC REFORMS
The Yoruba Council Worldwide has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his bold economic reforms, describing them as a step in the right direction despite the short-term hardships currently being experienced by Nigerians.
Speaking on behalf of the Council’s Global President, Aare Oladotun Hassan, the National Coordinator, Akintunde Alawode Rahmon, expressed optimism about the long-term benefits of the administration’s economic policies, especially in tackling inflation and driving sustainable development.
Rahmon made these remarks during a courtesy visit to the Minister of Youth at the Federal Ministry of Youth Development in Abuja on Friday, July 4, 2025.
The meeting formed part of the Council’s familiarisation tour aimed at strengthening collaboration between the apex Yoruba indigenous group and the Federal Government, with a focus on youth empowerment, economic growth, and national cohesion.
According to Rahmon, the Council believes that continuous dialogue and strategic partnerships with relevant government institutions are vital in addressing both regional and national challenges.
“We are here to support the president’s vision and encourage collaborative engagements that will benefit the youth and ensure meaningful development across the country,” he said.
The Council reiterated its readiness to work with the Ministry of Youth Development and other stakeholders to harness the potential of Nigerian youth in achieving the goals of the current administration.
