
Koko Town, Kebbi State –In a significant move aimed at enhancing community development in the Koko-Besse Local Government Area, five Mazda vehicles were officially launched today by Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu).
The initiative is part of the Makabartinne project of the generous donation of Dr. Bello Sarkin Zabarmawa Besse, Special Advisor to the Governor.
The event, which took place in Koko Town, drew community leaders, government officials, and residents who gathered to witness this momentous occasion.
While speaking, Governor Idris commended Dr. Bello Sarkin Zabarmawa Besse for his exemplary commitment to the development of the region.
The Governor called upon other well-to-do individuals to follow in Dr. Sarki’s footsteps, urging them to contribute to the welfare of their communities.
“Today marks a new beginning for our people in Koko-Besse,” Governor Idris announced. “These vehicles are not just a means of transportation; they are tools for progress and development. I encourage all recipients to utilize these resources responsibly for the betterment of their wards.”
Following the launch, Hon. Sirajo Usman Koko (Dan Gwaggo), Chairman of Koko-Besse Local Government Area, formally handed over the keys of the vehicles to the heads of the five wards: Besse, Koko, Zaria, Lani, and Dutsin Mari. In addition to the vehicles, financial support for drivers was also provided to ensure the effective operation and utilization of the vehicles for designated community projects, as highlighted by the governor.
“I urge the ward heads to prioritize the use of these vehicles for the benefit of the people,” Hon. Koko emphasized in his speech. “Let us work together to ensure that these resources serve their intended purpose.”
The launch underscores the commitment of the Kebbi State government to local development through partnerships and collaborative efforts. The traditional ruler of Besse, Professor Tijjani Bande, expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the community, offering prayers for continued blessings upon both Governor Idris and Dr. Bello Sarki.
“This act of generosity will undoubtedly spark further development in our area,” Professor Bande stated. “We are thankful for the support and guidance of our leaders, and we pray for their continued success.”
