The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Zonal Command, has successfully hosted the maiden edition of its Zonal Capacity Building Workshop. The event, held on Thursday at the Lagos Command office, focused on the theme “Command Synergy and Operational Excellence: The DCC Role in an Era of Emerging Challenges.”
Deputy Corps Commanders (DCCs) from across the zone gathered to discuss strategies for improving leadership skills, strengthening command structures, and tackling operational challenges in the evolving security and transportation landscape.
Delivering a keynote lecture, Retired Assistant Corps Marshal FRSC Oluwasusi Familoni underscored the need for effective communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution in enhancing synergy between Deputy Corps Commanders and their commanding officers. He maintained that stronger collaboration would significantly boost operational efficiency.
Also speaking, Retired Deputy Corps Marshal FRSC Bisi Kazeem addressed the impact of social media on FRSC operations. He urged officers to take advantage of digital platforms to disseminate accurate information and engage positively with the public in order to counter misinformation and strengthen the image of the Corps.
Assistant Corps Marshal FRSC and Zonal Commanding Officer for Lagos and Ogun States, Ann Oladayo, described the initiative as timely and impactful. She announced that similar workshops would henceforth be held quarterly to sustain professional development and leadership growth within the Corps.
The one-day workshop featured lectures, group discussions, and practical recommendations aimed at equipping officers with the skills and strategies needed to enhance operational excellence and resilience in the discharge of their duties.
