GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA HAILS NDDC AT 25, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO OIL-PRODUCING COMMUNITIES
Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has commended the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) for its developmental strides over the past 25 years, describing it as a key institution delivering on its mandate to the Niger Delta region.
Speaking during a special silver jubilee Thanksgiving Service held at St. Thomas Anglican Church in Akure, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed appreciation for NDDC’s impact, particularly in Ilaje and Ese-Odo LGAs. He praised the agency’s leadership and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment through OSOPADEC to improve infrastructure, healthcare, and education in oil-producing communities.
The governor also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for supporting the region’s development and urged continued synergy between NDDC and state governments to unlock the region’s full potential.
The event featured a sermon by Bishop Simon Borokini, and remarks by NDDC MD, Chief Samuel Ogbuku, who reaffirmed the agency’s renewed focus on transparency and impactful projects. The celebration concluded with a grand reception at The Dome in Akure.
