Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has reaffirmed his commitment to prioritizing the welfare of citizens and expanding access to essential services in the coming year.
Speaking as part of his New Year message, the governor highlighted plans to focus on “soft infrastructure” projects in the 2025 fiscal year, promising a more compassionate and citizen-focused administration.
Adeleke proudly stated that his government has managed to implement significant socio-economic programs and capital projects over the past two years without resorting to loans or external borrowing.
This, he said, reflects a commitment to responsible financial management while addressing the pressing needs of Osun residents.
Reflecting on his administration’s achievements, Adeleke emphasized his dedication to completing ongoing projects and launching new initiatives outlined in the 2025 budget.
His aim, he said, is to alleviate the hardships facing citizens and ensure that social programs reach those who need them most.
“I remain, as always, a governor who listens and responds to the needs of the people. Compassion drives every decision we make,” he stated.
In a move to foster unity, Adeleke extended a hand of reconciliation to opposition parties, inviting collaboration for the betterment of Osun State.
He also underscored his administration’s unwavering commitment to transparency, noting that his government has processed numerous Freedom of Information Act requests over the past year to promote open governance.
“We are building a state where accountability and trust are the foundation of progress,” Adeleke affirmed, urging all stakeholders to join hands in moving Osun forward.
As Osun residents usher in the new year, the governor’s assurances signal a continuation of policies designed to improve lives while maintaining fiscal discipline. For many, it’s a promise of hope and stability in challenging times.
