The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has extended his heartfelt New Year greetings to Nigerians, lauding the resilience and determination of the nation’s citizens amid the economic challenges of 2024.
In a statement shared by the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, on X (formerly Twitter), Egbetokun called for stronger collaboration between the police and the public to ensure national security and peace.
The IGP expressed optimism for 2025, urging citizens to approach the year with renewed hope and unity. Highlighting the importance of community engagement, Egbetokun emphasized a people-centered approach to policing.

Egbetokun reaffirmed the police force’s commitment to protecting lives and property, underscoring the critical role citizens play in fostering a secure environment.
